Why we started Tenens
Tenens is founded by Tunde Kara. Before this, he founded and led Vendease as CEO — a Y Combinator-backed (W21) procurement platform that automated the food supply chain for thousands of businesses across two countries, giving operators real-time visibility into cost, margin, and cash.
That work made one thing clear: the businesses keeping essential supply chains running are almost always flying blind on their own economics. Pharmacy is the sharpest version of that problem — thin regulated margins, a reimbursement cycle that pays late, and no tool built to watch both at once.
Trained as a biochemist and recognised as a World Economic Forum Global Innovator, Tunde is applying the same operator discipline to pharmacy: read every line, protect the margin, and free the cash — so pharmacies can run on real numbers, not month-end guesswork.
And we don't build it at arm's length. Our founding team brings 11+ years working directly with pharmacies, and senior pharmacy advisors sit with us on the decisions that matter — so Tenens is built with, and for, pharmacists, not guessed at from the outside.
